What an unforgettable day at Dwight Morrow High School as we proudly unveiled the DMHS Cyber Café—a newly designed, student-centered space aimed at fostering creativity, enhancing connectivity, and promoting consistent engagement in learning!
From the ribbon cutting ceremony to drones flying, Dash robots navigating, Ozobot coding stations, solar robot builds in the Makerspace, and 3D printers hard at work, our guests were immersed in hands-on, high-tech experiences. Students gamed in our Gaming Zone, explored digital design in the Mini Mac Lab, and showcased collaboration in action.
The event was made even more special by our Girls Who Code clubs from JDMS and McCloud, and a powerful performance by Quarles students, who debuted Siri Drum—an original song with beats created in GarageBand! 🎶
This initiative, funded through ESSER resources, underscores our district’s commitment to improving student attendance and opening new pathways for academic exploration and growth. The energy, collaboration, and joy in the room showed just how powerful innovative spaces can be in transforming the student experience.
This excitement is exactly what will drive our continued planning—to secure funding, combat chronic absenteeism, and ensure our schools remain vibrant, engaging, and empowering places to learn.
