EAGLE @ BCC Overview

EAGLE @ BCC is an Alternative High School Program.  Its educational programs are designed specifically to meet the needs of students whose academic performance puts them at risk of not finishing high school. Students benefit from smaller class sizes, a safe and intimate educational setting, student-focused learning activities and on-going attention to empower them as academic achievers.  Our students are required to do quality work, meet deadlines, and take pride in how they present themselves to the world.

The program addresses each student’s identified gaps in basic skills and provides individualized support to move the student to grade level standards using proven techniques that build student confidence.  This hands-on approach to learning, with extensive use of technology, will prepare students for a wide range of high options.  The program expects every student to make at least 1.5 year learning gain.  The most successful of students may be able to return to their original grade placement and graduate from high school with their peers.
